Communities are good places to live when people know each other, and have found ways to learn together, plan together, and act together. These kinds of communities are also the most resilient places!

Our Watershed Family Scavenger Hunt is a bit different from what you might think. The intent is to get to know more about this amazing place, and to get to know more about each other.

THIS IS NOT A RACE. Points are more likely to be awarded for slow, thoughtful, careful looking and wondering/questioning/responding, rather than how many or how fast.

The Event is FREE. So is the FOOD, courtesy of CT SeaGrant and NOAA and donors like you.  Please consider making a donation so we can keep doing events like this!! Make Your Donation

On Friday 29th of November, the Scavenger Hunt officially opens. Everyone who is registered will receive your Mission: Possible Hunt Pathways: Challenges and Experiences.  You can choose the Pathway(s) that suit you and your team the best.

If you do not wish to begin until Saturday the 30th, you are at NO DISADVANTAGE. We only wanted to open it on the 29th so that people who want to go to the Santa event on the 30th downtown could also do that.

All participants, even those beginning the Hunt on Friday, will come to the Museum on Saturday to finish the Mission: Possible, participate in the Relationship mapping, art project, and games, Silent Auction, and enjoy some food, music, and good company.

Whichever day you choose to begin, your first stop will be to the nearest location for picking up your Field Notebook and day-of directions, from 9-11 on Friday, and 9-10am on Saturday. There will be two sign-in locations on both days--one in the upper Watershed and one in the lower--and they will be revealed along with the Pathways on Friday the 29th.

On Saturday, the Mashantucket Pequot Museum's CL & P room (Group Entrance)  will be our "home base" and the site of the Watershed Family art projects, relationship maps, and learning games. After you have finished your Hunt, please join us for some good food, music, cultural learning, Relationships and observation games, art-making (both collective and takeaway), and reflections on Relationships in the Watershed.

Please consider donating something for the Silent Auction! Do you have something you teach? (like tracking or yoga or kayaking lessons) Do you have a vacation home you could offer for a weekend? Could you offer a free admission? Free services or experiences? Please let us know: info@alliancemrw.org

We are so excited to get to know you and for you to get to know more people who care just as much as you do!
